YEAR OF CALL: 2009 (Alberta) EDUCATION: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) – University of Alberta (2008) Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) – Royal Military College of Canada (2000) PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS: Law Society of Alberta Canadian Bar Association PROFILE: Vince Y. Ng is an Associate with the firm and carries on a general practice of law with a focus on Corporate/Commercial Law and Civil Litigation. Mr. Ng has argued cases before the Provincial Court and the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta. He has further appeared as co-counsel before the Refugee Protection Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Court of Appeal of Alberta. Mr. Ng practices, alone or in conjunction with other members of the firm, in the following areas:
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Mr. Ng was a Naval Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, from 1997 to 2010 (includes Regular Force and Reserve Force service) having served overseas in one of Canada's first forays into the Middle East since the 9/11 attacks. For his service in the military he was awarded the Article Five NATO Service Medal, the South West Asia Service Medal and the Canadian Decoration for honourable service. VOLUNTEER / COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES: Mr. Ng is a volunteer with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, an organization dedicated to providing free legal services to for those in need in Edmonton and Surrounding Area. INTERESTS: Mr. Ng enjoys spending his leisure time with family and friends, engaging in sports, and reading. He is also a self-professed cinephile who enjoys watching movies.
